2009 marks the 15th year that Susan G. Komen for the Cure has partnered with Ford Division. As a National Series Sponsor of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Ford is the exclusive automobile manufacturer of the Race and a valued corporate partner. In association with its dealers and associates Ford has contributed more than $100 million in cash and in-kind donations for breast cancer education and research since 1995.

From April 22 to June 1, Ford will donate $20 for each Ford, Mercury or Lincoln vehicle test driven at a Ford dealership – up to $1 million. In addition, Donley Auto Group is donating an additional $20 per test drive. For a total of $40 per test drive. *Customer must be employed for 30 days after purchase. Must be employed full-time for 90 continuous days before job loss. Not available to self-employed, part-time or seasonal workers. Maximum monthly payment $700. For many Ford shoppers, certified used cars have become affordable alternatives to new cars. "Certified" refers to a used car that is offered for sale by the original manufacturer, often with extended warranties beyond the initial coverage. The extended warranty typically takes effect when the original warranty expires. Like a new car warranty, it offers coverage for a certain number of years or miles, which ever comes first.

In many cases, a customer who purchases a certified used car will become eligible for benefits that a new car customer enjoys. Perks such as service loan cars, shuttle pick-up and drop-off service, roadside assistance, free maintenance and low-rate "incentive" loans can be one of many reasons to choose a certified used car over a less expensive used car bought from a private party or generic used car lot. Many certified programs will even offer longer warranties at an additional cost, but the real value lies in the factory-provided coverage that would be included in the purchase price of the car you're considering. The advantage to certified used vehicles is new car benefits at a used car price.
